First introduced in 2002, the Diaphane quickly gained cult status with its fusion of lightweight materials such as aluminum and its futuristic, embedded case that recalls space travelling.
As the name indicates, the model stands for transparency and luminescence, through the clear view of the mechanical movement and the play of light on the frosted semi-transparent casing. The Diaphane models are considered rare, limited, and also pioneering.
Among the models is the Diaphane One, a Carroussel Tourbillon whose movement was developed by Jaeger LeCoultre. The most complex Swatch ever made.
