With its mesmerizing mechanics, Franck Muller’s Master of Complication Curvex Chronometro 18K perfectly combines ancestral tradition and great technique by modernising the classic design with the inclusion of a chronometer. Acting as a decloration of love towards the roaring twentys with its tonneau case, it builds upon the classic designs of the Art-Déco era.

About the Brand

Being one of the youngest Swiss watch manufacturers with its inception in 1991, Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes set up Franck Muller Watchland SA together to which the Franck Muller brand belongs. Upon foundation, the two men agreed that they would specialise in complication watches, Muller's favourite playing field. A series of innovations followed, certain of which prefigured watchmaking's mechanical revival a dozen years later. In this respect, the brand is an important link in watchmaking history, being one of the first to render historical complications in more visible, spectacular ways: the triple-axis tourbillon of the Revolution 3 is one example, the giant tourbillon in the aptly-named Giga Tourbillon another. The brand is also recognised for the unconventional form of its cases, such as the tonneau case of the Cintrée Curvex. Curved along its length and width, its crystal must be fashioned by hand into a perfect fit.
